Annapolis Greenscape 2016

Home » News » Annapolis Greenscape 2016
January 17, 2016

The City of Annapolis Spring GREENSCAPE 2016 scheduled for April 23, 2016.

Join Mayor Michael Pantelides and the Annapolis community to celebrate 25 years of making Annapolis a beautiful place during the 25th annual GreenScape on Saturday, April 23. Following the plantings on April 23, a special event will take place to commemorate 25 years of beautification. Please attend one of the organizational meetings for more details.

GreenScape is a volunteer effort that encourages and supports individuals and organizations to plant and maintain native gardens in public areas throughout the City of Annapolis. Volunteers clean up and plant flower and vegetable gardens in public spaces throughout the City. The City provides plant materials, mulch, trash bags and gloves; the community provides volunteers who want to make a difference in Annapolis. Just in the past 10 years alone GreenScape volunteers have planted more than 15,000 perennials plus 1,500 trees and shrubs — if you’ve ever considering being a part of this amazing community beautification program, this is the year to do it!

Organizational meetings will be held on Wednesday, February 3 and Wednesday, March 2. Both meetings will be held at 6 p.m. at the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center located at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis.

If you are unable to attend the meeting on Wednesday, February 3, you can download the order form by going to www.annapolis.gov in early February. Click on “Forms and Permits” (top bar) and scroll down the page to the “GreenScape Order Form” link. Complete the form and e-mail it to Marisa Wittlinger at mdwittlinger@annapolis.gov. For more information, please e-mail Marisa Wittlinger.
