The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is looking for your help.
“Trash is not the largest problem that the Chesapeake Bay faces, but it is definitely one of the easiest to eliminate,” is the mantra for Project Clean Stream.
This spring, marks the 13th Annual Project Clean Stream. April 2 is the unified day of service but there are cleanups throughout the spring. Hundreds of projects around Maryland need your help. Check the website here to see a list of all of the cleanup sites and times. https://www.allianceforthebay.org/project/project-clean-stream/
In Annapolis join the Back Creek Conservancy’s first spring cleanup day on Saturday, April 2, from 9 a.m. to noon,
Volunteers will scour areas around the Back Creek Watershed to pick up trash before it makes its way into the creek.
On the day of the event, the entire group will meet at Back Creek Nature Park at 9 a.m. to divide into teams. Wear jeans, sturdy shoes with socks, and anything you wouldn’t mind picking up trash and debris in. If you have garden gloves, bring them, too. Bring friends!
