June 4 and June 5, 10:00am to 3:00pm
A fundraiser for historic Hammond Harwood House, this years’ Secret Garden Tour takes visitors through the neighborhood of Murray Hill, which is adjacent to Spa Creek.
For the first time, two rain gardens that have been installed by the volunteers of Spa Creek Conservancy will be part of the tour. Volunteers will be on hand at the rain garden at the end of Monticello Avenue as well as at the end of Amos Garrett Boulevard to answer questions and share information about the current projects of the conservancy.
The self-guided walking tour is arranged for guests to stroll through gardens leisurely. At the same time, guests will discover many ideas for planting and outdoor living areas. Docents will have garden descriptions for each location. Enjoy going beyond the gates of many wonderful gardens, thanks to the owners who have opened their outdoor homes for our annual fundraiser.
